Science Project Ideas
ANATOMY

WARNING!!!
Remember that these project ideas and outlines are meant to help you complete your own science project. But it is DISHONEST and UNETHICAL to copy someone else's project work samples and submit them as if they were your own. That's called plagiarism and it's a fast way to get a failing grade. It's okay to do the same project as someone else, or review what others have done so you can make your project better, but DO NOT COPY and pretend it's your project. Someone is sure to spot the plagiarism!!

  1. Research the nervous system and construct a model of the neuron. For those who are not squeamish, use a frog leg or crayfish claw to demonstrate how the nerves react to electrical shocks.

  2. Are all nerves on human skin equally sensitive to heat, cold, pain, etc., or do different nerves feel different sensations?

  3. Research the human heart, build a model of it and demonstrate how it works.

  4. Research the human lungs, build a model of them and demonstrate how they work.

  5. Compare the vital capacity between male and female lungs.

  6. Research human cells, build a model and explain the role each part plays.

  7. Research the composition of human blood, do a microscope study and prepare illustrations and explanations of what you find.

  8. Research and explain the operation of the gall bladder in humans and the cause and formation of gall stones.

  9. Research, explain and demonstrate the eye's construction of an afterimage.

  10. How does the human eye work?

  11. Research, explain and demonstrate the eye's persistence of vision.

  12. Does the eye really work like a camera? Research and explain.

  13. Is there an identifiable relationships between fingerprints in a family?

  14. Are fingerprints on each hand the same for one person or does each finger have a different print?
